Pick a Mitzvah was born in Panama 6 years ago. Pick a Mitzvah consists of promoting the fulfillment of "a NEW mitzvah for a single Shabbat” to people who don’t currently keep that mitzvah regularly. (This allows the person to try a new mitzvah without fear, social pressure or stigma, since the commitment is little, being only for one Shabbat). Last year we had the participation of 96 communities and together we managed to exceed +30,000 NEW Mitzvot that were fulfilled around the world.
We invite you to be part of this project for FREE. The process for communities to join is very simple. Participants enter by pressing their community’s affiliate link and fill a form to choose the mitzvah or mitzvot they wish to fulfill (Bli Neder) on the Shabbat that coincides with Shabbat Project (This year it would be November 3-4, 2023). That’s it!

DATA ON OUR PREVIOUS CAMPAIGNS:
This small commitment makes a HUGE difference. Our data indicates that a great percentage of participants continue to fulfill the mitzvah of their choice after experiencing it for the first time with Pick A Mitzva. It is a very large zechut and it is an easy way to help advance the religious level of the community while also expanding our community members' knowledge about Shabbat mitzvot.
Made by many of our partners in order to fundraise for their communities. Can be used to buy prizes to raffle on the Pick A Mitzva campaign or for another activity of the community.
